There is a precise causal relationship from the development of science and technology in any micro or macro societal structure to its economical sucess, political freedom, development and overall well-being. If any developing country has to develop as a society, a single prerequisite is the development of science and technology.

Dr. Dhakal, one of the founders of this institute, explaining the connection between his international exposure via European Union's Erasmus Mundus Programme, and how it inspired him to startup Phutung Research Institute.
